No doubt where his heart is at.

The offseason starts now for the Phoenix Suns, with their roster taking part in end of season interviews with the media in the wake of their Round 1 sweep.

Collin Gillespie has always been an honest guy with a microphone in front of him, and he left no doubt as to what he wants to see happen next season.

Unrestricted free agent Gillespie eager to come back to The Valley

To the surprise of nobody, Gillespie was up front about his desire to run it back with the organization, and about the only negative to him saying this is how it could impact his bargaining power.

The 26-year-old had a career year with the Suns, proving he could be effective as a starter or off the bench.

There are plenty of factors working in his favor too, such as the fact he is a perfect fit backing up both Devin Booker and Jalen Green.

You can understand why Gillespie would want to come back, as this is the best roster in the entire league to showcase his talents.

It didn't work out for him on a contender in the past, and the Suns look like a group that is trending in the right direction as well. Gillespie should obviously want to be a part of that.

He also has the trust of head coach Jordan Ott, and with the Suns currently not above either apron financially they can do a deal that makes sense for both sides.

Just what the organization are going to do with Mark Williams could present a problem however, as he is eligible for an extension and is going to want as much money as he can get.

Can the front office bring Williams back, keep Gillespie happy and go out and add some players to this roster to make them more competitive next season?

Right now the vibes are rightly high after a surprisingly competitive season, and Gillespie more than played his part in that.

But the franchise can't stand still with how competitive the Western Conference is, and tough decisions are going to have to be made.

None harder than what to do with Gillespie, who is using his exit interview as a "please bring me back" plea to the front office.

He's a fan favorite and he wants to be here which has endeared him massively to The Valley, but that doesn't make it a guarantee.
