There is no doubt that the Phoenix Suns are going to go through several big changes this summer. The most likely of which would appear to be Kevin Durant, who looks to have played his last game for the franchise. Fans would love for Bradley Beal to also move on - but for now at least and despite some bullish talk from owner Mat Ishbia - that appears unlikely.
There is no way the franchise should entertain moving on from Devin Booker, he simply means too much to the organization and is on his way to becoming the best player in Suns' history. To some, he may be there already. Even if it is only Durant who ends up leaving, the team are going to get back several players in any trade.
Former Suns player confirms he has bought a house in Scottsdale.
Looking back on the run to the 2021 NBA Finals, and several of the players who have since departed still mean so much to the fanbase. Mikal Bridges is certainly one - and although it looks like he may have lost a step at times with the New York Knicks - he is an important part of that team and their current playoff run.
Chris Paul is another, and it was painfully ironic that he managed to play all 82 games for the San Antonio Spurs this season. Almost 40-years-old, the Suns moved on from Paul because he was ageing and couldn't stay healthy when they needed him the most. Given they gave him up to acquire Beal, you have to wonder if that's a deal they wish they could go back and not do.
But on a recent episode of "The Young Man & the Three", it was Cam Johnson who revealed at the beginning of the conversation that he had recently bought a house in Scottsdale, Arizona. As much as fans would love this to mean that Johnson might be coming back to The Valley to play, the reality was far less exciting. Johnson loves the weather, and wants to call Arizona home in the offseason.
There currently isn't anything more to it than that, although fans can take some comfort in knowing that - of the three former players mentioned here - the prospect of Johnson playing for the team again one day isn't impossible. He currently makes far too much money to get a trade done, but he is a part of the rebuilding Brooklyn Nets.

It could be that they get involved in a potential Durant trade as the third team, with Johnson somehow making his way back to Phoenix. As unlikely as that sounds, what is more plausible is the Knicks flaming out in the postseason, and deciding Durant is the player who can help them get out of the Eastern Conference.
In that scenario Bridges would actually be on the table, which would be a nice place to start in trying to recapture the lost vibes of 2021. Johnson will always have a soft spot for Phoenix - and the fanbase with him - but right now there is nothing more to this than a guy who likes to spend his summers in the sun.
