It only took 15 games, but Phoenix Suns fans sure feel like they've got their team back. All it took was a head coach in Jordan Ott to devise a game plan on both ends of the court that the team could get behind, and the wins and good vibes have followed. Devin Booker sure looks like he's having fun as well, and long may that continue as he continues on the path of being the greatest Sun ever.
Biggest addition of season will be return of Jalen Green.
We might not get to see the Suns at their best until after Christmas, but we do at least know that at some point this season they are going to get even better. That's because Jalen Green - who only lasted a game and some change before going down with another hamstring issue - will be back out on the court alongside Booker and company.

The sample size has been tiny, but the 23-year-old sure has looked like the perfect running mate for Booker from what we've seen so far. He managed 29 points in a win over the L.A. Clippers in his only full game, which had the added benefit of coming against a former player in Bradley Beal who is nothing but a distant and bad memory at this stage.
At a time when trade chatter is heating up ahead of a slew of players becoming available in the next couple of months, the best thing the Suns can do is keep their roster as is. That may prove difficult given Grayson Allen is having a career year, and cashing in on his performances now may yet be the right call.
There's also reason to believe that if that were to happen, that Green when healthy would be an upgrade over Allen anyway. Certainly offensively, although on the other end of the court Allen has been an important part of coach Ott's game plan. If the Suns could somehow swing for Jonathan Kuminga, then that would again be a different conversation.
But making splashy trades is as difficult as it has ever been, particularly ahead of the trade deadline. The Suns have started the season much better than expected - and although their schedule may have helped - Green is the perfect reinforcement to have coming back once the games do become harder.
Right now they're hoovering around top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency, and there is no reason why Green can't take that up a level again. So while trades are flashy and cool to talk about, the front office in Phoenix got their business done during the summer. They will reap the rewards once Green is back out there putting up 30 a night.
