3. Bol Bol

Remember we said this is all relative, as in no other place would you see Bol Bol rank higher than Booker in anything. But when you consider just how little the big, big man was used to begin the campaign by head coach Frank Vogel, the fact he's putting up 25 points in a game against the Houston Rockets in February is outrageous.

We saw flashes of Bol doing this for the Orlando Magic last season when that roster was decimated by injuries. They didn't win a ton and Bol was a fun story - but once they got their best young players back - Bol was sent back to the bench. So to see him contributing to winning basketball, he had 11 points and four rebounds in 24 minutes against the Los Angeles Lakers recently, has been amazing.

Bol played seven games total between opening night and the final day of 2023. In that period of time he averaged 2.7 minutes of game time, and 0.6 points. Defensively he was a disaster, and any time spent out on the court, Bol looked lost. From New Year's Day onwards however it was like a switch was flipped, and coach Vogel decided to put more trust in the enigmatic big.

All of a sudden Bol was playing with a smile, and had Durant taking him under his wing. If not for an ankle issue that caused him to miss a few games, Bol would have played even more than he currently has. Since January 1st he's managed 15.9 minutes and 8.5 points in nearly double the amount of games he had played before that. Some turnaround, and he might even sniff the playoff rotation.
