5. Shawn Marion - 20.9
A ridiculously popular Sun, Shawn Marion was ahead of his time when he was in the league. Given his defensive abilities, "Matrix" could well be a max player if he was playing today. What gets slept on though is his scoring and athletic ability, and on two occasions with the team he put up over 20 points in a season.
To finish his time with the Suns averaging 18.4 points and an insane 10 boards when he was predominantly a small forward speaks to his talent level on both ends of the court. If Nash rightly gets a lot of the credit for the successful and iconic era of Suns basketball that he was a part of, then Marion is right there with him.
Despite his strange shooting form, Marion was never a better 3-point shooter than during his tenure in The Valley, as he managed to shoot 34.2 percent on nearly three attempts each night. For those keeping score at home then, Marion had an oversized impact on both ends of the court, never needed to dominate the ball and was part of winning teams. A PER dream then.
