Raptors trade rumors are gaining steam as the team lost four straight. Toronto missed the playoffs in 2023 and lost Fred VanVleet in free agency. It is a crossroads year as Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby, and Gary Trent Jr. can all become free agents after this season. The Raptors need to blow it up before they lose more talent and get nothing in return.

Dennis Schroder signed a two-year deal worth $25.4 million in the offseason. The veteran guard is averaging 15.3 points, 7.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steal in 31.7 minutes per game as the Raptors starter. He is comfortable coming off the bench and helped the Lakers reach the conference finals last season.

If the Suns want a ball-handler and playmaker, Schroder may be the best available option in their price range. They could trade Grayson Allen and any of their minimum contracts to get him if the Raptors decide to rebuild. Finding the draft capital to convince Toronto to make the deal would be tough, but crazier things have happened.

The Phoenix Suns will try to upgrade their roster before the Feb. 8 trade deadline. Will they have the assets to make a move? Expect to hear plenty of rumors if nothing else, so stay tuned for all the latest.
