4. Seth Curry

Curry signed a two-year contract worth $8 million with the Mavericks in the 2023 offseason, but the second season is non-guaranteed. Dallas traded him to Charlotte in the P.J. Washington deal. The Hornets have little use for a 33-year-old veteran guard, which could give a contender a significant boost.

Curry has struggled this season but was playing inconsistent minutes on the Mavericks. Last season, he averaged 9.2 points in 19.9 minutes per game while shooting 46.3 percent from the field and north of 40 percent on his 3-point tries. The 6’2 guard was teammates with Kevin Durant in Brooklyn and played two games for the Suns back in 2015.

Curry is a career 43.2 percent 3-point shooter, which is the seventh-highest mark in NBA history. The 33-year-old remains an elite shooter and defenses respect him. They are not doubling off Curry, which would create even more open looks in the Valley of the Sun.

Seth Curry struggles on defense and injuries have been an issue throughout his career. The Phoenix Suns would be signing him for the veteran minimum for the remainder of the season. There is no risk, and Curry’s ability to make shots could be key in a postseason game.
