The Suns should try to acquire these players before the Feb. 8 trade deadline.

The Phoenix Suns are building momentum. Their Big 3 is finally healthy, and the team is beginning to look like a title contender. Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal give them a shot to win it all, but the team still has question marks. The Suns should be looking to add before the trade deadline, but their limited assets make it difficult.

Phoenix has explored the market for Grayson Allen and Nassir Little, but trading Allen is risky. The 6’4 guard is an elite shooter and arguably the most important player behind their Big 3. Phoenix only has four second-round draft picks to trade, so finding a significant upgrade won’t be easy.

Who could the Suns realistically target? Nassir Little is making $6.2 million this season, and the franchise has several minimum contracts it could put in the package. Can they find a role player on the cheap that improves their title odds? These players could be available before the deadline.

7. Torrey Craig

The Suns would love another wing with size capable of defending multiple positions. That can be said for every contender. Phoenix must to find someone to fill that role who is not on other teams' radars.

Craig has not played since Dec. 16 with a foot injury. He was ruled out for at least eight weeks and may not return until the end of February. The 6’7 wing was only playing 21.2 minutes per game for the Bulls before injury and his two-year deal worth $5.3 million is not front of mind for Chicago to move.

The Suns could get a player they know well at a discount before the Feb. 8 trade deadline. Craig spent parts of three seasons in Phoenix, including averaging 16.6 minutes per game in the 2023 playoffs. They need a 3-and-D wing, and the Bulls are rumored to be sellers. Do not rule out another reunion.
