Grade the trade: Durant heads back to OKC in outrageous proposed deal

Trading Kevin Durant is the only way for the Phoenix Suns to get considerably better this summer, and this mock trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder does that.

No matter what way you try and chop it up, Kevin Durant is the only one of the Phoenix Suns' current "Big 3" who is likely to be traded this summer. General Manager James Jones may have already come out and said that this will not be happening, but stranger deals have been done in the past.

The Suns would likely much prefer to move Bradley Beal - but given he has a no-trade clause and this madness is the best package that can be put together - that is never going to happen. As for trading Devin Booker? Not unless you want Phoenix to disown the organization altogether. Plus if he were ever to get moved, it would mean the Suns were blowing it up and Durant was gone too.

Returning to Durant then, and one publication out there has named him as the most valuable trade asset this offseason in the entire league.

That would be Bleacher Report, who recently named Durant as the top target for rivals to try and prise away from The Valley this summer. Author Zach Buckley went one step further and actually cooked up this trade -

There is a lot to get through here, so let's unpack this one for both organizations, and grade the trade for the Suns at the end.
