The Phoenix Suns find themselves as major favorites against the Washington Wizards on Sunday, but neither team has been great against the spread in this spot.

Washington is just 6-13 ATS as a home underdog this season, and the team won’t have forward Kyle Kuzma (left shoulder) in this game. The Suns, on the other hand, are just 6-8-1 ATS as road favorites, so why not focus on the prop market for our best bets in this game?

Kuzma’s injury certainly impacts the Wizards’ outlook in the prop market, but the Suns have a few players that may be worth targeting as well.

Here are my top prop plays for Sunday’s afternoon showdown:

Suns vs. Wizards best NBA prop bets

  • Kevin Durant OVER 25.5 points
  • Jordan Poole UNDER 21.5 points
  • Jusuf Nurkic OVER 10.5 rebounds

Kevin Durant OVER 25.5 points

I love this play for Kevin Durant, who scored 28 points in his first meeting with Washington this season.

KD is averaging 28.5 points per game, and while his numbers have dipped with the health of Bradley Beal and Devin Booker, KD should tear up the league's no. 28 defense.

Durant is coming off a 35-point game against Atlanta, and he had 33 in the team’s previous game against Brooklyn.

If Washington hangs around in this game, Durant should see enough minutes – and shots – to easily clear this prop.

Jordan Poole UNDER 21.5 points

Poole should see an expanded role in this game with Kuzma out, but this points prop is a little high for my liking.

The Wizards guard is averaging just 16.5 points per game this season, and he’s shooting poorly (41.0 percent from the field, 30.4 percent from 3).

This season, Poole has just 13 games where he’s cleared 21.5 points in 46 matchups. He’s coming off a 21-shot game against Miami where he finished with just 16 points (6-for-21 FG, 2-for-14 from 3).

Poole can get hot, but the numbers this season tell us to fade him in this prop.

Jusuf Nurkic OVER 10.5 rebounds

This is a prime matchup for Nurkic, who is taking on the worst rebounding team in the NBA.

The Wizards rank 30th in the league in rebounding percentage (45.2 percent), and they allow a league-high 49.6 opponent rebounds per game.

Phoenix is one of the best teams in the NBA on the glass (sixth in rebounding percentage), and Nurkic is a major reason why.

Earlier this season, the Suns big man had 17 rebounds against Washington, and he’s grabbed at least 11 rebounds in 21 of his 46 games this season.

Nurkic’s minutes have fluctuated this season from low 20s some nights to low 30s in others, but the Wizards usually have a traditional center on the floor between Daniel Gafford and Marvin Bagley, which sets up well for Nurk’s playing time.

He’s a player I don’t mind in a rebound ladder in this game either.
