Best NBA prop bets today for Hawks vs. Suns (Phoenix starts hot)
The Phoenix Suns are coming off a bounce-back win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night. They’ll try to sweep a brief two-game homestand Thursday night against Atlanta Hawks before hitting the road for a pair of matchups in a three-day span against the lowly San Antonio Spurs.
Can Phoenix light up the desert in a projected high-scoring affair with the Hawks? Atlanta has stayed afloat since Trae Young went down near the end of February, playing .500 ball (6-6) without the three-time All-Star guard. Here are some prop bets to attack in Thursday’s cross-conference clash at Footprint Center.

Best NBA prop bets today for Hawks vs. Suns
- Phoenix Suns 1st Half Team Total OVER 60.5 points
- Grayson Allen OVER 4.5 three-pointers made
- Clint Capela OVER 10.5 rebounds
Phoenix Suns 1st Half Team Total OVER 60.5 points
Phoenix likes to come out of the gates strong and grab the lead early and they should be able to do that when Atlanta comes to town. The Suns have averaged 62.3 first-half points over their last three home games and rank No. 3 in the NBA in first-half scoring, averaging this posted total of 60.5 for Thursday's tilt.
The Suns have a much better matchup Thursday to go off early, facing an Atlanta defense that is No. 29 in scoring defense, giving up 121.7 points per game. The Hawks are also No. 23 in first-half scoring defense and are bottom-five in the NBA in most defensive shooting
Grayson Allen OVER 4.5 three-pointers made
The juicy plus-money pay out is worth a shot in this matchup. Allen has been on a scoring tear of late, averaging 17.9 points per game in March, over six points better than his February average (11.5). Allen is coming a stellar shooting performance in Wednesday's win over Philadelphia, going 10-of-17 from the floor with nine triples and finishing with 32 points.
Allen is averaging 4.4 three-pointers in March and has eclipsed this number five times over the last 12 games, including in back-to-back contests (17-of-26 from deep over his last two games). The matchup is sweet for Allen to have a big night as Atlanta struggles to contain the perimeter.
The Hawks are No. 28 in the NBA against 3-pointers and allow 13.9 made triples per game, the fourth-most in the NBA. Take a chance on Allen to continue his scoring surge.
Clint Capela OVER 10.5 rebounds
Capela is a beneficiary of an Atlanta team that is bottom-10 in the NBA in shooting percentage, chasing down 10.6 rebounds per game, which is 11th in the league. Capela grabbed just nine rebounds in Monday's loss to the Lakers. However, he went over this rebounding total in each of the previous five games. He's playing 25.6 minutes per game in March, his highest monthly total since December. In the 24 games he's played 26-plus minutes, Capela has eclipsed 10.5 rebounds 19 times.
Phoenix has been tough overall on the boards, but still permits a slew of second-chance opportunities. The Suns allow the third-most offensive rebounds per game in the NBA (11.3) and Capela should have a chance to clean up some misfires Thursday night.
