8 free agents the Phoenix Suns should avoid at all costs

The Phoenix Suns are going to be busy this offseason trying to rebuild their roster around three stars, and these eight players should be avoided at all costs.

2. Taurean Prince

The bigger, more modern version of Matthews, Taurean Prince is a player some Suns fans probably would want on their team. He played 78 regular season games for the Lakers this season, and is still in his prime years having only just turned 30.

He is able to play a number of positions across the front line, and could fit nicely next to Durant and Allen in smaller ball lineups. Shooting a shade under 40 percent on the season is not a bad place to be either, and he has had some moments for the Lakers where he has piled up points in a hurry.

But if you actually watch Prince with the Lakers, is it fair to point out that a player should be doing even better than Prince has with the opportunity he has been given there? Next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis, too often it has looked like Prince has either missed important shots or failed to step up when really required.

The Lakers still have the play-in tournament to navigate - and although they likely will make the postseason proper - Prince doesn't feel like he will be a deciding factor. That could all change and he could then be what the Lakers, Suns and a whole host of contenders need. But for now, this looks like a player who the Suns don't need to add, although his case is stronger than most others here.
