5. Grayson Allen
Swingman Grayson Allen could yet rise up this list, but there is one key fact from making that the case right now. Allen had a career year last season, with highs in points, rebounds and assists, and his 46.1 percent shooting from deep on nearly six attempts per game led the entire league.
That was rewarded with a new four year, $70 million deal, which the Suns can use in a trade down the road. Any other organization that gets Allen would be securing a player who can shoot at an elite level, and who would be locked into a contract for years to come. All of the reasons that the Suns themselves wanted to bring him back.
Hampering Allen's value is a poor postseason showing in which he went missing when he was needed the most. He took half as many shots from deep and only made 20 percent of them, which no doubt sunk his trade value some. Just as important, Allen can't be traded until October 14th of this year either.
This is as a result of signing that new deal - and while that isn't going to deter other teams from going after him down the road - it does put his true value on ice for now. Another strong showing to begin the 2024-25 regular season though, and Allen could be near the top of this list.
