2. Minimize Mat Ishbia's influence
Since Ishbia took over as the majority owner of the Suns, he immediately made changes by trading for KD. He followed that up with a blockbuster deal for Beal. Both deals have made the team give up their future and give away their future draft picks. He also influenced how Phoenix should play without a traditional point guard. These moves backfired when they lost miserably in the first round.
These mistakes are the reasons why Ishbia needs to reflect on where he's leading the team. He wants to win a title immediately, which is what most teams desire. But that doesn't come easy and he needs to learn how to be patient. On top of that, he has an intelligent general manager in James Jones who has carefully built a winning team before his arrival.
List of #Suns/Mercury moves spearheaded by Mat Ishbia as #Suns/Mercury steward/majority owner:

-- Traded for Kevin Durant
-- Replaced Monty Williams with NBA champion Frank Vogel, reconstructed roster with minimum contracts
-- Traded aging Chris Paul, Landry Shamet for Bradley… pic.twitter.com/ZfuxwC9TGU
Like other owners in the NBA, Ishbia must back off and allow the right people to make certain decisions. If winning a title is what he wants, he has to be patient.
