Player movement has been prevalent over the past few seasons in the NBA. For the Phoenix Suns, there have been a few players who have overlapped in their careers. For this piece, we'll look at the five strangest overlapping players.

The Suns have a rich history of players who have been part of their organizations. Both stars and role players have been given a chance to suit up and represent The Valley. Some players displayed outstanding longevity that allowed them to encounter different stars in their careers.

Charles Barkley (Julius Erving and Steve Francis)

One of the icons of the 1990s was Charles Barkley. Although he started his career with the Philadelphia 76ers, Barkley played some of his best seasons with the Suns. During his initial years with the Sixers, he spent three seasons playing alongside Julius "Dr. J" Erving. Chuck arrived in Philly two seasons after they won the title against the Los Angeles Lakers.

After eight seasons playing in Philly, Chuck took his talents to Phoenix. He became an MVP with the team during the 1992-93 season. In the same season, Barkley led the Suns to the NBA Finals. However, the glory of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls was too much for them.

Moving on with his career, Chuck joined the Houston Rockets during the 1996-97 season. He played four seasons with the Rockets and in his final year, he became teammates with Steve Francis. Now as a seasoned player, Barkley served as a veteran voice for Francis and Cuttino Mobley, a sophomore at that time.
