Kris Dunn

A more under-the-radar name than the others on this list, Kris Dunn has quietly been having a very solid season with the Utah Jazz. After playing in just 40 games over the previous three seasons thanks to some scary leg injuries, Dunn has finally returned to doing what he does best at a high level.

Once a top five draft selection in 2016, Kris had to deal with the possibility of being out of the league permanently just a few short years ago. During the Covid season in 2020-21, he only played four games for the Atlanta Hawks before being traded to the Celtics ahead of the 2021-22 season.

Instead of suiting up for the 2022 Eastern Conference champions, he found himself again on the move, ending up in Memphis where he lasted for all of one preseason game. Dunn would play in the G League before only earning a 10-day contract with the Trail Blazers due to an injury exception.

When he signed another 10-day with the Jazz just over a year ago, there were still no guarantees about his future. After showing his skill as a hard-nosed defender and timely shooter, he finally earned another multi-year contract.

It has been a battle of perseverance and hard work for Kris Dunn. He will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and would be an excellent option for a backup ball handler in Phoenix.
