3 Goals for Kevin Durant for the 2024-25 NBA Season
By Liam Clark
1. Win a championship without Stephen Curry
Winning the NBA championship is the ultimate goal for every player in the squad, however a championship with this Phoenix team would mean a lot for Durant. Although KD has won two championships and was dominant in both of those runs, winning the Final MVP both times for the Golden State Warriors, he has often recevied criticism about his tenure with the Warriors.
Many NBA fans and critics have criticized the move Durant made in 2016 to join the best regular season team of all-time in Stephen Curry's Golden State Warriors. While Durant played a major role for the Warriors, many doubters have said that he needed to join the Warriors in order to win a ring.
At 35-years-old, KD is still arguably the best player on his team and winning a ring in Phoenix and bringing the team their first ever championship would cement his legacy and prove all the naysayers wrong.
This season is the best chance for Phoenix to win a ring, with a number of young teams on the rise such as the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Minnesota Timberwolves, it will soon become much more difficult in the West.
