1. Average more assists

The Suns averaged 27 assists as a team last season, despite not having a traditional facilitator. The 2015 NCAA champion wasn't a major contributor in that category as he only averaged three assists. Despite the low average in assists, he had his moments as a floor leader for the team.

Last season, he only had one game where he finished with double-digits in assists. In a game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Feb. 8, Allen led the team to a win with his 14 assists. Impressively, he didn't turn the ball over during that game.

Getting teammates involved in the offense is one of the major keys to any success in the NBA. Allen has proven that he can feed his teammates the ball for easier shots. The only issue with him is that he doesn't do it more often.

The Valley has signed Monte Morris this offseason to be the lead guard but having him won't be enough. It looks like the Suns are done with adding another guard (potentially a backup) for next season. This opens the door for Allen to have his moments as the point guard.

Honing his facilitating skills could also make him a deadly offensive weapon since he can already make shots by himself.
