Point guard
The other top flaw of the Suns roster this season was the lack of a point guard. They don’t necessarily need one to start, but it would be helpful to have one on the bench to ease the playmaking load of the stars.
When picking at #28, the Suns couldn’t go wrong between Dunn and point guard Tyler Kolek, but drafting the former means they’re still need to find a PG elsewhere. The news that Chris Paul was signing with the Spurs was devastating, as a reunion would’ve been perfect.
Thankfully, the point guard market is pretty robust and not much else has transpired in free agency. Players like Kris Dunn and Cam Payne are still available and will likely sign for the minimum. The Suns should be able to finally sign one in the coming days. Ideally, it'll be someone who's good from distance so they can kill two birds with one stone.
