The Phoenix Suns announced Friday, Nov. 14, that they’ve assigned two players from the roster to their Valley Suns NBA G League affiliate.
Rasheer Fleming and Khaman Maluach have been assigned to G League.
The moves shouldn't come as a surprise, provided head coach Jordan Ott’s current rotations haven’t provided much room for the first-year players to get minutes needed to develop.

Fleming was a second-round pick (No. 31 overall) in the 2025 draft. A 6-foot-9 forward out of Saint Joseph’s, Fleming played in just seven games for the Suns — mostly in garbage time.
Maluach, the No. 10 overall pick of the 2025 draft out of Duke, likewise hasn’t seen much playing time. The 7-foot-2 19-year-old also has also played in just seven games, averaging five minutes per contest (roughly the same as Fleming).
The move no doubt allows for both NBA rookies to get more seasoning with playing time at the G League level instead of riding the bench for the NBA squad.
Ott has now settled into a rotation that primarily features Mark Williams, Nick Richards and NBA sophomore Oso Ighodaro in the frontcourt.

Suns fans shouldn't overreact to the news, as it's often in an organization's best interest to get young players time to compete outside of a practice setting to show what they can provide when their names are ultimately called upon.
Maluach (19) and Fleming (21) will have to wait their turn behind more experienced big men as Phoenix rides a five-game winning streak.

If nothing else, the move allows fans to watch both guys get extended minutes against G League competition.
