With the Phoenix Suns having just completed a two-game preseason slate of games against the Brooklyn Nets in China - with the contests taking place at strange hours if you're in The Valley - you would be forgiven for checking out the other tune up games taking place around the league.

Chances are you also have a passing interest in how Kevin Durant has looked with his new team the Houston Rockets. To sum it up in one word, the 37-year-old's fit in Texas looks great. The Rockets having both the depth, younger talent and better fit of top players in the form of Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson, to highlight Durant's offfensive skills in the best possible way each night.

Durant right to call out Suns fans saying the won the trade.

That doesn't mean it has been all bad over in Phoenix either, and it is clear the culture has already changed for the better. Although the results of the preseason games don't matter, the manner in which the Suns have been playing certainly do. Already you can see head coach Jordan Ott's defensive schemes in place, with new recruit Dillon Brooks personifying the required effort.

During the second contest versus the Nets in Macau, a fan video caught the Suns' fun bench reaction to a made basket from Royce O'Neale. One fan reposted the moment and tagged Durant, saying that the "Suns won the trade!", a sweeping statement if ever there was one. Not one to shy away from a back-and-forth online, Durant came back with a response of his own.

As far as bite backs go from the superstar, this is both a measured and correct one. You could argue he's being sarcastic in how he's telling the fan to "enjoy the season brother", but we're going to choose to believe he meant it. After all, Durant has only ever come across as somebody who loves the game in all of its forms. He's not in Phoenix anymore, but he doesn't with the Suns ill will either.

Why it is correct is because there are no expectations this season, and so it is easier to have a good time. Devin Booker has signed his extension and knows the fans won't be on him if they fail to win 30 games. This campaign is all about improving the youngsters and creating a culture anyway, so of course with less pressure comes more fun on the court.

This is no bad thing either, and it reminds us of the Suns prior to the NBA Bubble when they were quietly building something special before going all the way to the NBA Finals not long after that. The postseason is out of reach for now, but there's no need to have a go at Durant because the Suns look more like a team. They do, but he also looks more than comfortable in Houston. Everybody wins.
