The Phoenix Suns have officially entered what will be an important offseason for the franchise, as they look to build on their surprise playoff appearance.

They also have a General Manager at the wheel who is no longer a laughing stock throughout the league, and a co-star in Dillon Brooks who is already excited to get back to work. After he’s been to the Bahamas.

Way too early predictions for next season sees Jalen Green traded

What is a long offseason without some fun and speculation, so we’re taking a look at three out there scenarios that could unfold in The Valley in 2026-27 as Phoenix continues their journey back to relevancy.

Devin Booker secures first regular season triple-double

The Suns are ounce again going to expect Devin Booker to do it all next season, and after a campaign in which some questioned if he was at his dominant best, the 29-year-old will surely be up to the task.

Booker has also never recorded a triple-double in the regular season, strange given what an ever present he has been for the franchise. But with Brooks pushing his teammates daily, this is the campaign when it will happen.

Which bodes well for their postseason hopes. Booker has only one triple-double to his name, occurring in Game 1 of the 2021 Western Conference Finals. That season ended in a finals appearance, and while that seems unlikely right now, remember how far away that seemed coming out of that 8-0 NBA Bubble run.

Dillon Brooks becomes an All-Star

Brooks got close this season to making the midseason exhibition, but since then his approval rating throughout the league has only improved. He’s the engine that makes the Suns run, and no longer a scapegoat for failings at previous stops.

The fact he was the Suns’ most clutch player versus the Oklahoma City Thunder is a worry because of what that says about Booker, but Brooks taking such a massive step forward will finally be rewarded in 2026-27.

Phoenix the perfect platform to show the league that behind the techs, hilarious soundbites and over the top defensive antics, one of the 35 best players in the league laces them up every night. Watch him inexplicably climb that list even further and get the love he deserves outside of The Valley.

Jalen Green is traded

This won’t be an easy decision for the franchise, Green had a brilliant play-in performance to save the Suns’ season when they were on the ropes. Unfortunately he followed that up with a playoff showing that was both inefficient and exposed his weaknesses.

Green is capable of making ridiculous shots and his fit next to Booker actually works. But after six season and a pair of postseason performances that produced more bad than good, is this just who Green is going to be?

He looks like a player who needs a strong defensive structure behind him to thrive, and although the Suns were top 10 in that category for periods of the season that happened while Green was out injured.

He’s never totally felt like a Jordan Ott player either, although he still clearly has value throughout the league. Moving on from him in 2026-27 will ensure the Suns continue climbing the Western Conference.
