Fresh off beating the best team in the Eastern Conference without Devin Booker you would think the vibes couldn't get any higher for the Phoenix Suns. You would be wrong.
Jalen Green officially having been upgraded to active for the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and it comes at the perfect time for the franchise.
Green/Brooks tandem could be explosive for Phoenix
While Booker remains the team's franchise cornerstone and best player, what the return of Green means is that the Suns will be able to see what the duo of himself and Dillon Brooks can do on the court together.
The pair were on the same team in Houston for the last couple of seasons, but this time it is going to be different. No matter what anybody thinks, without Booker out there they are the two best players on the roster.

What will that look like? We already know Brooks has no problem being the co-star to anybody, it is part of the charm of his unexpected All-Star push.
He is also clearly a wonderful teammate, so don't be surprised if he's feeding Green early and encouraging to look for his shots as he once again tries to get a run of games under his belt.
If Green is struggling however, then we know Brooks would only love to step into the alpha role once more, as we saw him do in that win over the Detroit Pistons.
That featured a career high 40 points and the kind of tenacity that has been one of the trademarks of the Suns during this regular season.
It will also be interesting to see how head coach Jordan Ott uses them two of them together, and just as importantly, when he splits them up.
He could experiment with having one of them on the court at all times, but really this is a chance to see how the team's second and third best players step up against a dangerous opponent.
You already know Brooks is going to try and shut Donovan Mitchell down on every possession, while Green likely isn't going to reign that athleticism in one bit considering he is cleared to play.
It's not the kind of setup the Suns would want long-term, but it is something to be excited about as we are going to see a new dynamic and different rotations from this team. The franchise is flying towards the All-Star break right now.
