The Phoenix Suns are rightly out on trying to trade for a superstar to move back into contention right now, such was the mark Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal left on the franchise.
But the opportunity to land Giannis Antetokounmpo this offseason? Surely that is a serious conversation the front office needs to have.
Giannis use of the word Phoenix in social media post excites fans
Public perception of the Greek superstar has likely never been lower given the "will he, won't he?" rumors on if he will remain with the Milwaukee Bucks this offseason.
With the Bucks' season now done, the 31-year-old took to social media to mark the occasion of his 13th season ending, and the choice of words was intriguing.
Year 13 ✅📖

This has been one of the toughest seasons of my career, but as they say, like a phoenix from the ashes, I’ll rise.💯
To the city of Milwaukee, MY city, thank you for the unwavering love and support. 🤎 pic.twitter.com/27d6VLLI6o
Giannis saying that, "like a Phoenix from the ashes, I'll rise". Naturally Suns fans took that to mean that there is a chance that he could be heading to The Valley this offseason.
There likely is a chance, albeit a small one, that this could actually happen, but let's not get too ahead of ourselves here.
Antetokounmpo using the phrase the way that he did is completely normal, and you can bet whatever team he suits up for next season he is going to be a man on a mission.
It is getting messy in Milwaukee given the player was seemingly held out of games against his will by the organization, and if that's the case is that really the kind of drama you want to see in Phoenix?
On the contrary this season in The Valley has been refreshingly drama free, and although a playoff exit is coming soon, the franchise has done a brilliant job of rebounding from the Durant era.
Owner Mat Ishbia did a great job this season of accepting that he had to take a long-term approach to building a winning team, but the availability of Antetokounmpo would seriously test that.
Devin Booker must also surely realize that, for as competitive as this roster currently is each night, having Giannis alongside him would do wonders for his ability to win a ring.
The Suns also have some players such as Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks who could be used as a starting point any potential trade talk as well.
This is not a "come and get me" plea from Antetokounmpo to the Suns, but that also doesn't mean that a surprise trade won't happen this summer either. Giannis could end up anywhere.
There may also be a subtle link between both Booker and Giannis as well, although the likelihood of them teaming up in Milwaukee now appears slim. Advantage Phoenix if he is on the move.
