The Phoenix Suns have done a great job of rebuilding their centre depth going back to last offseason, and now have the luxury of bringing along rookie big man Khaman Maluach at his own pace.

Trading for Mark Williams was one of the best moves of the summer, while both Nick Richards and even Oso Ighodaro can fill in for spot minutes when required.

Former Sun Bismack Biyombo will be out of the league before long

The same can't be said for former center Bismack Biyombo, who remains in the NBA with the San Antonio Spurs.

No shade meant when we say this, but the 33-year-old may have had one of the more fortunate careers across the last decade.

Not only did he get to play with Chris Paul in Phoenix, which likely prolonged his career as he showed what an impactful lob threat he can be, but the salary cap spike of 2016 also came along at the right time.

Everybody remembers this as the moment that the Golden State Warriors were able to sign Kevin Durant away from the Oklahoma City Thunder, but Biyombo got paid too.

After one half decent playoff showing with the Toronto Raptors, the Orlando Magic saw fit to hand him a monster four-year, &70 million deal. So the league has been kind to the big man.

But so far this season he has seen less than six minutes of action across 11 games played. When you've got Victor Wembanyama, there isn't much need for anything else.

In fact he's likely in Texas to be help the younger players more away from the court, kind of like how Nigel Hayes-Davis has panned out for the Suns.

But it is highly unlikely he will get another stop in the NBA once he's finished in San Antonio, and he only needs to look at Richards as the reason why.

He's available at the low price of a second round pick or two right now, and he's making around $5 million this season before hitting the market in the summer.

Yet no other teams have appeared serious about enquiring him, with the only legitimate chatter stemming from the Raptors and their desire to get under the apron by doing the deal.

This whole NBA Europe experiment can't come quick enough for Biyombo, because once this campaign is done it is the logical next step for him other than heading to China or some place similar.
