In the wake of Dillon Brooks dropping a career high 40 points in the win over the Detroit Pistons, without Devin Booker and Jalen Green no less, talk around him being an All-Star reached a level we have not seen before.

Everybody has an opinion on it, and when you're playing the best basketball of your career and also helping a team with zero expectations likely make the playoffs, you should be considered.

Brooks thinks Devin Booker should be Suns' All-Star

In the aftermath of the win over Detroit, Brooks was asked if he believes he should be an All-Star and to the surprise of nobody he does.

But rather than be bullish about it or shout from the rooftops about the disrespect he will feel if it doesn't happen, he instead took the most measured response you will ever see.

He's cool with getting in, but he believes if one Suns player should make it as a reserve then it surely has to be Devin Booker for how he has led the team this season.

That right there perfectly captures all that has been great about the Suns this season. Individuals quick to praise their teammates, and share the accolades that have come their way.

Not to make this about Kevin Durant (and we couldn't blame him if he had a "Why Always Me?" moment like Mario Balotelli once did for this), but that is in complete contrast to what we saw in The Valley across the last two seasons.

In fact Durant took to social media when somebody poked fun at the fact Brooks has more 40 point games than him this season. All lighthearted stuff of course, but that just brings a different feeling with it.

Instead here is a player in Brooks who was made a scapegoat for the failings of the Memphis Grizzlies, before being traded to what looked like a worse situation in Phoenix for Durant.

He's now finally getting his flowers and the prospect of being an All-Star despite being the 45th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft is an amazing one. Yet he's made it about Booker.

A superstar who doesn't need the backing of the fans as he already has it, and who has experienced what it is likely to be at the midseason exhibition himself four times already.

Opponents hate him but Dillon Brooks has in a matter of months changed the culture completely for the Suns, and this was his best act as a teammate yet.
