Beloved former Phoenix Sun Cameron Johnson has been spotted getting some offseason work in at the Suns' practice facility alongside current players, which has fans dreaming about a reunion.
Johnson makes sense on this roster at the right price
Landing Johnson this offseason isn't going to happen, but there is reason to believe the 30-year-old could make it back to The Valley before he calls it a career. His relationship with the franchise is clearly in a great place if he can work out there, despite playing for a genuine rival in the Denver Nuggets.
It is widely known that he still has a house in the area and stays there often, which is why he is working out with members of the Suns. He was also a part of that 2021 NBA Finals roster, and he has always had a great relationship with Devin Booker.

The organization is currently beyond the first apron and, thanks to Jonathan Kuminga's surprise move to the Minnesota Timberwolves, will likely be extending Miles Bridges before long. Yet, Johnson will be an unrestricted free agent next summer and has had his fair share of injury problems for a Nuggets team that also needs to shed money in order to add new players.
Johnson won't be coming back to Phoenix on the minimum, but his days of making serious money look to be behind him.
If the Suns are serious about trying to contend as they appear to be, bringing Johnson back off the bench while also sprinkling some of that 2021 magic back on the roster would surely hold massive appeal. It would also go a long way to appeasing a fanbase that did not love the surprise move for Bridges.
Jeremiah Fears the hidden piece of workout video
If you watched the video above, then you likely noticed that New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jeremiah Fears was the person who posted it to social media. Still only 19-years-old, he would be an amazing long-term solution to the Suns' point guard woes.
Not that the Suns have been linked with him at all, but the Pelicans are among the worst-run franchises in the league and have been fleeced in trades in the past.
The fact that he was welcomed into the facility and has a relationship with some of the players present is something to keep an eye on down the road. This is how deals get done around the NBA, and the idea of one day having Johnson and Fears in The Valley is an exciting one, albeit incredibly difficult to pull off.
Never has an offseason run been broken down so much.
