The Phoenix Suns finally parted ways with Bradley Beal earlier this week, in a move that was a long time coming. Beal giving back a chunk of change in order to escape The Valley, before quickly recouping most of it by signing a two year, $11 million deal with the L.A. Clippers

The Beal experience in Phoenix will not be remembered fondly, but how much of that has to do with the 32-year-old's play remains to be seen. A combination of his massive contract and inability to stay healthy when it mattered most were the real culprits - as when he was on the court - he was far from the worst problem for the organization as they struggled to win games.

Beal throws up the peace signs on social media exit post.

Beal finally broke his silence on the matter on social media on Thursday, electing to give a somewhat tongue-in-cheek peace sign as he departed. Kevin Durant quickly jumped on the Instagram version of the below with some laughing emojis, to further hammer home how much better the feel will be next season now that both have departed.

There are a number of ways to interpret this, and perhaps Beal truly was just saying goodbye to the fans as he heads to Los Angeles. But if you read between the lines, there might just be more going on here than that, especially with infamous social media consumer Durant getting involved from the get-go.

Beal never publicly spoke about wanting to leave Phoenix, and if anything the noise out of his camp was always that he and his family had settled well there. But as long as he was in town - so was the $110 million owed to him over the next two seasons - which put the Suns over the second apron and in a terrible spot financially.

The no-trade clause he possessed didn't help either, but that was hardly his fault and was a smart business move going back to his time with the Washington Wizards. Really then this could just be Beal once again saying nothing - despite surely having many thoughts on the last few seaons - and leaving in peace, as the post suggests.

Really though the fact that this is open for debate at all - and that Durant jumped on it the way he did - gives us a peak behind the curtain of the last two seasons. Taking to social media and posting things that can be viewed in different ways is not Devin Booker's style, and it certainly wasn't what Chris Paul was doing when he called Phoenix home either.

The organization needs to move away from these kind of actions, and build a cohesive group around Booker's behind closed doors policy of dealing with things. Beal's departure has potentially paved the way for another player with more questions than answers to head to the Suns, but that is for another day. It's been real Bradley Beal, best of luck with the Clippers. Peace.
