Contributions come in many ways in the NBA. Many sizeable contributions are on the offensive end. However, the players for the Phoenix Suns can show a plethora of ways to contribute to their mission to win the title this season.

Three games in, and we’ve seen how the players have made the most out of their time on the court.

The Suns are hoping to be title contenders this season. For that reason alone, they’ve overhauled the roster and surrounded Devin Booker with enough help.

So far, many of their offseason acquisitions have done well. This piece focuses on the three players who have done an excellent job in helping the team’s chances of contention.

Without much ado, here are three players who have performed considerably in the young season.

3. Josh Okogie

Phoenix fans are ecstatic each time the 6-foot-4 forward makes hustle plays. Josh Okogie has made exceptional contributions to the team after three games.

As the fifth starter for the team, he’s done all the little things to give the momentum in their favor. His defensive tenacity has been a great help to the team this season.

Okogie is eyeing his first All-Defensive nod this season. That wouldn’t be an impossible feat to attain, given that he’s performed exceedingly well for the Suns in their first three games.

"“My goal, I want to be on the all-defensive team, or at least in consideration for one, and just kind of be the defensive anchor for this team,” Okogie said. “Go further and win a championship this year. I’m going to play as hard as I can so we can get that done.”"

In three games, he’s averaged 11.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. Offensively, he’s been a reliable option, making over 60 percent of his shots from the field and 43 percent of his three-pointers.

Okogie’s persistence in the offensive glass has been outstanding, grabbing 2.7 offensive boards every game. He’s tied at first in that category with Jusuf Nurkic, who’s also done a great job this season.
