2. Turnovers

The Phoenix Suns may need to end up getting an actual point guard for the bench unit. Of course, we will dive into why they may not need to, and it is game one of 82, but hear me out here.

The Suns bench unit had seven turnovers themselves, and that may not seem bad, considering the starters had a combined 12 turnovers with their group. But the starters are playing the majority of the game, so that’s almost expected. The bench unit doesn’t play nearly as much. They may need a point guard to help run with that unit.

Eric Gordon was the one who was running point with the second unit, and I hope we never have to see a game like that again, even though I know we will. Gordon not only had one turnover, but that isn’t the biggest reason the Suns need a point guard. The way he forced shots may as well count as a turnover.

Gordon would run down the court and shoot a random three or drive to the lane and try a contested layup.

But, hey, we still don’t know what Bradley Beal looks like with this team, especially considering thaat the big three will always have one guy on the floor.
