The Phoenix Suns were able to steal their first win by way of beating the Golden State Warriors on the road. It’s not often the Warriors lose at home, let alone season opener games, but the Suns fought till the end and pulled the first one out by the skin of their teeth.

The Warriors were without Draymond Green in this game, while the Suns were without Bradley Beal; both were very important pieces for their teams. Their impact on the game and what they do for their teams was felt in the season opener. However, we will get into that more in a bit.

The Suns proved on Tuesday night they are a legit team to watch for in the Western Conference, especially after beating a team in the Warriors, whom most people feel the same way about.

We should focus on three takeaways from this game moving forward as we look to the Los Angeles Lakers for a Thursday matchup. The Lakers didn’t look amazing, and the Suns had some good and bad things in their game one takeaways, which can help us focus on what to watch for on Thursday.
