1. Can they win a first NBA Championship?

Yes, the Phoenix Suns can win a first championship this season. Of the few real contenders that there are, the Suns are right there with the Denver Nuggets, Boston Celtics and Bucks. They have done a brilliant job of taking a homegrown, in his prime superstar and giving him all of the tools to succeed.

It will not be easy, and injuries are the biggest roadblock the organization has to watch out for on the road to success. With Ayton gone, there is no discontent on the roster. Everybody knows their role, and getting Durant to buy into this being Booker’s franchise was no small feat either.

Everybody just wants to win, right down to Watanabe and Gordon taking minimum deals when in all likelihood they could have gotten more money elsewhere. It will get less airtime, but the Suns also have one of the best coaching tickets in the league with Vogel being surrounded by lead assistants in Kevin Young and David Fizdale.

No organization has put themselves in a better position to win, but plenty have done that in the past and come up short. The L.A. Clippers of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George one such cautionary tale. This feels like a two year window as currently constructed but make no mistake, the Suns have never had a better chance in their storied history to go and win the whole thing.
