What Suns’ Bradley Beal said about Devin Booker should scare the rest of the NBA

The Phoenix Suns roster is a good place to start a convo with in terms of the rest of the league being scared this season. Sure, no one is scared, actually. No one is staying up having nightmares about the Suns because they just aren’t. Every player, every team feels like they have a good shot at being a great team.

However, everyone knows the Suns are a team that can and likely will compete for a championship. But that’s not what should scare teams. No, the thing that should scare the team, and the rest of the league in general, is what Bradley Beal just said about Devin Booker on Media Day.

Suns’ big three already complement each other, literally

Devin Booker is one of the best players in this league and, I would say, a top-three guard in the league. I would tend to agree with that statement. The crazy thing is he is getting better. The fans, media, and anyone else who follows this team can see that.

However, to hear another player say it, and the way he said it, feels great.

“Just to see the caliber level of the player, it can only just get better,” Beal said. “And that’s kind of scary to see. I’m excited to see that because I’m going to continue to push him, he can reach that level that we know he can tap into whatever it is because he can still be better. He could still grow; he can still improve just like I can. I think he’s just now scratching the surface.”

Devin Booker needed Chris Paul to help him take that next step, and he did. He became a better leader and playmaker and improved his teammates. He took a jump in scoring versatility as well. Now, with Beal and Durant, he will only get better.

Beal has led the league in scoring before, as has Kevin Durant, who is one of the greatest scorers this sport has ever seen. Not only will playing with them and against them in practice help him get even better at scoring, but playing with them in the games will elevate his all-round offensive game, too.

Bradley Beal is right, it’s scary. He is already one of the best players in the league. He is him.
