The Phoenix Suns reached the NBA playoffs as the fourth seed in the Western Conference, taking on the fifth-seeded Los Angeles Clippers in the first round. Phoenix then advanced to the second round of the Western Conference playoffs to face the top-seeded Dever Nuggets.

Having secured the number four seed in the playoffs, Phoenix limped into the playoffs behind back-to-back losses to the two Los Angeles teams. Although the starters did not play for Phoenix, coming off a couple of losses is not the best way to enter the playoffs. Nevertheless, behind Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, the new-look Suns look to capture the club’s first championship in their 55-year history.

Suns playoff schedule 2023 (updated):

Phoenix has their backs against the wall, with Game 6 at home and the season on the line. Playing without Chris Paul or Deandre Ayton, the short-handed Suns must hope Booker and Durant are enough to force a do-or-die Game 7. If not the season will once again come to an early and disappointing end.
