The Phoenix Suns need one win to lock up the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference, and they are massive 19-point favorites on Tuesday night against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs, who upset the Sacramento Kings in their last game, are all about tanking for the No. 1 pick in this season’s draft.

They’ll be without several players on Tuesday, including their best young players in Jeremy Sochan, Devin Vassell and likely Keldon Johnson (doubtful).

There is still plenty of incentive for the Suns to keep winning, as they can still earn the No. 3 seed and they need to acclimate their team to playing with Kevin Durant.

But, can they cover this massive number? I’m leaning towards a bet on the total for my best bet for this game:

I really don’t want to lay almost 20 points with any team in a game, so instead I’ll take the OVER with the Spurs’ horrific defense taking on a team that features two of the NBA’s best scorers in Durant and Devin Booker.

While the Suns haven’t played a ton of high-scoring games lately, they did combine for 246 points with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.

The Spurs, who rank dead last in the NBA in defensive rating, have cleared 235 points in three of their last five games, putting up at least 230 combined points in each of them.

Phoenix should be able to run the score up early on the Spurs, but after watching San Antonio put up 140 on the Kings, I’m not ready to completely fade its offense just yet.

Go OVER on Tuesday night.
