Mikal Bridges, Jae Crowder and Cameron Johnson are all gone, but now so is Kevin Durant with his ankle injury. The Suns have lost their last three games without KD in large part because they sacrificed depth to become the super Suns and now they’re missing their most important piece.
Against the Orlando Magic tonight somebody other than Devin Booker will need to step up. If we can figure out who then we can find some value in the prop bet market for Suns and Magic.
Magic vs. Suns best NBA prop bets
- Chris Paul over 23.5 points + assists (-105)
- Franz Wagner under 16.5 points (-112)
- Torrey Craig Over 1.5 three-point field goals (+175)
Chris Paul over 23.5 points + assists (-105)
His age is starting to show from time to time, but with KD out more responsibility falls to Paul. Especially in terms of finding his own shot. He always looks for others and last time out he had 16 assists, but he was also getting to his spots and finished with 16 points himself. I think Paul makes a lot happen on the offensive end in this one.
Franz Wagner under 16.5 points (-112)
Wagner is one half of one of the most exciting and talented young frontcourts in the NBA, but while his younger counterpart, Paolo Banchero is the same player at home and on the road, Wagner is still searching for that type of consistency. Wagner averages 20.1 at home and 17.3 on the road while shooting seven percent worse from the field. I’ll fade Wagner in this one.
Torrey Craig Over 1.5 three-point field goals (+175)
All of Phoenix’s wing depth is gone, so now Craig is a mainstay in the starting lineup. He’s shooting nearly 40% from three and averaging 3.2 attempts per game. I think he’ll hit two shots from deep tonight and at plus odds this is a value play.
