Game 2 of the Kevin Durant era in Phoenix takes place on Friday night in Chicago, and the Phoenix Suns are set as slight favorites against DeMar DeRozna, Zach LaVine and the Chicago Bulls.

The Suns easily handled the Charlotte Hornets in Durant’s debut, and he dropped 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting in just 27 minutes (due to a minutes limit).

With Durant acclimating himself to the team and the Suns featuring two of the games best scorers with him and Devin Booker, they have a real chance to make a run in the Western Conference.

The Bulls, on the other hand, are 1.5 games out of the play-in tournament in the Eastern Conference, going just 3-7 over their last 10 games.

Can they pull off the home upset of Phoenix tonight?

Suns vs. Bulls prediction and pick

Chicago has been much better at home (18-13) than it’s been on the road (11-21), but I don’t trust the Bulls as home dogs on Friday.

On the season, Chicago is just 6-6-1 against the spread as a home underdog, and I think the market is undervaluing the Suns with Durant on the roster.

Part of that is due to the minutes limit and the challenges of him playing with a new team, but this is Kevin Durant!

KD needed just 15 shots to score 23 points on Wednesday night, and he should have a field day against a Bulls team that lacks the size on the wing to hang with him on defense.

I’m looking past the trends for Phoenix since this roster is so different from the team that played 14 games previously as road favorites, going 6-8 ATS.

The Suns are 1-0 ATS as a road favorite with KD, and he and Booker should be too much for Chicago’s No. 24 offense to keep up with on Friday.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
