Suns vs. Nets prediction and odds for Tuesday, February 7 (Back Suns in Devin Booker’s return)
By Peter Dewey
The Phoenix Suns will welcome back their star on Tuesday night against the Brooklyn Nets, as Devin Booker is finally ready to return from a groin injury.
This should be a huge lift for the Suns’ offense, and they’ve been playing better as of late, moving into the No. 6 seed in the West with back-to-back wins.
Booker is averaging 27.1 points per game this season, and he could be the difference maker with the Suns set as favorites against the Nets, who lost to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night.
Following the Kyrie Irving trade, Brooklyn is down to very few options on offense. Cam Thomas had a huge game on Monday, but it wasn’t even enough for the Nets to cover.
Kevin Durant and Seth Curry remain out of the lineup with injuries, but it’s possible the players Brooklyn received in the Irving trade (Dorian Finney-Smith, Spencer Dinwiddie) could suit up tonight.

Suns vs. Nets prediction and pick
I was worried about Brooklyn’s offense keeping up against the Clippers, but a 47-point game from Thomas, his second straight 40-point game, was enough for Brooklyn to hang around for most of the game.
I don’t know if he will have the same success against Mikal Bridges and a strong Suns defense that ranks eighth in the NBA in defensive rating this season.
With Booker back, the Suns have a chance to move into the top half of the Western Conference playoff picture. They’ve gone 18-11 with him in the lineup this season, and I think he helps them handle this Brooklyn team.
The Nets are just 3-3 ATS as home dogs this season and 4-5 ATS on the second night of a back-to-back.
A well-rested Suns team should have no problem with them on Tuesday.
