Notable Takeaways

  • Phoenix will complete their season series against the New Orleans Pelicans by two months into the season. The predicted record is 3-1 in the Suns favour, which would be a good result should Zion Williamson return to a dominant presence for the Pelicans.
  • Predictions have the Suns losing for a second time to the Los Angeles Clippers at Crypto.com Arena. The teams don’t square off in Phoenix until late February, followed by another in early April.
  • Christmas Day begins a tough stretch for the Suns where they’ll be on the road to Denver, Memphis, Washington and Toronto. A 2-2 split would be a solid result with each game presenting as a serious challenge.
  • Phoenix’s easiest period comes with a four-game home stretch against the Pelicans, Lakers, Wizards and Grizzlies halfway through the month. It’s predicted that they’ll sweep this home stanza 4-0, however the Lakers and Wizards games are a back-to-back.
  • Four of the 16 games are against Eastern Conference opponents, with the Suns expected to win all four matchups.

An 11-5 record in the month of December would be another solid outcome for Phoenix, taking their overall expected record to 26-11 through 37 games.
