NBA trade proposals continue to fly around, and armed with their future picks and some tradable contracts, the Phoenix Suns are right amongst them.

Now, in another mock deal, the Suns acquire Utah Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic. Given the Jazz’ likely desire to strip it all back and start again, the Croation’s name regularly arises in trade possibilities.

Would Bojan Bogdanovic fit the Phoenix Suns? Does the deal make sense?

According to NBA Analysis Network who proposes the trade, here’s what a potential deal could look like.

"Phoenix Suns receive: Bojan BogdanovicUtah Jazz Receive: Dario Saric, Landry Shamet, 2023 First-Round Pick (Lottery Protected)"

Bogdanovic would be a clear fit for a Suns roster that could do with more forward depth beside Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson and Jae Crowder. Having been a consistent 17-20 point per game scorer across the last four years, the 33-year-old would give Phoenix a much more threatening  offensive arsenal.

Sure, it may crowd the forward spots a little given all four players are capable of playing 30+ minutes, but in a league where wings are highly sought after, the Suns would find a way to make it work effectively.

The deal itself would be a win for the Suns – there’s question marks on whether Saric will be in the rotation coming off an injury, while Shamet’s minutes could be taken by Damion Lee with no real loss. The bigger question here is whether Phoenix can simply get their hands on a better quality player than Bogdanovic?

Phoenix are in the window of making a 2-for-1, 3-for-1 or even 4-for-1 trade, aggregating salaries and adding picks to acquire another highly impactful player. We know the Suns have interest in Kevin Durant, but even if it’s not him, then they may set their sights higher than Bogdanovic as good as he is.

This feels like a mid-season trade deadline deal, one where the Suns have exhausted their hunt for other options, and the Jazz have concluded that they won’t find a better value offer.
