Members of the Phoenix Suns’ bubble team that remain in the NBA.
Ricky Rubio
After being traded by the Suns in the Chris Paul trade, Rubio has spent time with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers. He was having an impressive 2021-22 season before going down with an ACL injury, with the Cavaliers then trading him to the Indiana Pacers. But such was his impact in Cleveland, that the Spaniard has signed to return to the franchise on a three-year contract.
Kelly Oubre Jr.
Oubre didn’t play in the bubble due to a knee injury, before being moved on by the Suns in the Paul trade. Like Rubio, he was immediately on traded, finding himself at the Golden State Warriors. After an up-and-down season in the Bay, Oubre signed a two-year deal with the Charlotte Hornets where he remains today.
Ty Jerome
As part of four Suns players included in the Paul trade, Jerome is the only one that’s ever stepped foot on an NBA floor with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The 25-year-old has become a valuable backup guard, averaging nearly 20 minutes per game across the last two seasons.
Jevon Carter
Carter had another season with the Suns following the Bubble, but was then traded to the Brooklyn Nets in a trade for Landry Shamet. The 26-year-old was waived by the Nets in February this year, but was quickly picked up by the Milwaukee Bucks and has since re-signed with the team.
Frank Kaminsky
Kaminsky had a solid stint in Phoenix but unfortunately succumbed to knee issues that eventually saw him waived by the franchise earlier this year. His NBA career will continue though having signed with the Atlanta Hawks in free agency.
