Former Phoenix Suns guard Goran Dragic will go off with the Chicago Bulls
Having left the Suns on multiple occasions, new Chicago Bulls point guard Goran Dragic could make this list twice.
Although it’s been some time since we last saw Dragic play in the desert, we did see him emerge as a sneaky, but effective talent off the bench for the Brooklyn Nets after they acquired him following his buyout with the San Antonio Spurs last year.
While Brooklyn foolishly waited for Ben Simmons to join the team in their playoff series vs the Boston Celtics, Dragic proved himself as one of the team’s most impactful players. In that series, he became one of six players to average double digit points despite being the only one from that group to average under 20 minutes per game.
The Dragon was effective in Brooklyn even the turmoil which he even commented on following the season. But now, he finds himself in a far less rambunctious situation playing for the Bulls.
This past year, Chicago at no point looked like the side show we saw unfold in Brooklyn even despite their shortcomings. Paring young talent like Zach LaVine, Coby White, and Lonzo Ball beside veteran All-Stars DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic, Chicago looks ready for another fun and fruitful season.
Dragic will fit in nicely amidst the group and as a competitive player himself, feed off the energy from gritty role players like Alex Caruso and Ayo Dosunmu. The Bulls represent a perfect landing spot for him, then allowing him to improve on what he did last year without those aforementioned distractions which made things tough.
