Phoenix Suns Clear Winners in Proposed 5-Team Mega Trade

There’s been no shortage of proposed trades involving the Phoenix Suns in recent weeks, and now, one recent article has blown the league to pieces with a five-team mega trade involving some big names.

Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report has devised a deal that may well finish the NBA offseason, such is the enormity of the trade and names mentioned.

The Phoenix Suns may find it difficult to acquire Kevin Durant solely, but this proposed deal sees them obtain another scoring forward as well.

Let’s take a look at the deal, one that takes awhile to get your head around.

First things first, it’s difficult to envisage the Nets ever going for this trade. They appear to be the clear loser, sending out Durant, Kyrie Irving and a young talent in Cam Thomas. In return, they only get three players – Mikal Bridges, Talen Horton-Tucker and Cameron Payne.

Sure, they get a host of picks, but that doesn’t come close to equating to a similar level of value. Even if it did, Brooklyn don’t want to bottom out and re-build. General manager Sean Marks wants All-Star calibre players that can contribute right away and keep the Nets relevant.
