Phoenix Suns Early Free Agent Targets: Danuel House Jr.
This past season Jae Crowder’s offensive production simply did not cut it. The swingman forward shot a near career-low 39.9 percent from the field and averaged his fewest points per game in seven years.
Into the fold steps Danuel House Jr.
Although Crowder, Mikal Bridges, and Cameron Johnson will likely man the wings before him, House Jr. promises to round out that area of the court with some added scoring punch which Phoenix might benefit from every now and then.
In his recent stint with the Utah Jazz, House Jr. shot 41.9 percent from deep and even polished off his defensive game, especially as an on-ball, perimeter stopper. He resembles a more raw version of Bridges, who the Suns relied on heavily at times last year.
His market might dictate more, but if the Suns can get him on a minimum deal, he makes sense as a low end bench guy to fill up the forward spot.
