Phoenix Suns Exiting Players: Aaron Holiday

Even though he did not exactly break out with the Suns this year and feels due for a smaller contract, Aaron Holiday resembles a talented, young piece. With that, a rebuilding team feels more likely to hand him a multi-year deal that ups what Phoenix wants to match as a team already dancing around the luxury tax, even with his bird rights.

With the Suns, Holiday averaged 6.8 points despite playing only 16.3 minutes per game. He put up what would be career high numbers with his 3-point shooting at 44.4 percent and dished out 3.4 assists per game.

At just 25 years old, he resembles a solid project certainly worthy of a top rotation spot on a team looking to find proper footing.

With Payne, Paul, Shamet, and Booker all locked up for the long haul, the Suns can do without Holiday even despite his value purely from a basketball standpoint. Watch for Phoenix to try and reel in a different third string guard though, and for Holiday to attract attention from teams like the New York Knicks or San Antonio Spurs.
