Phoenix Suns Key Factors vs Dallas Mavericks: Rebound, Rebound, Rebound
Rebounding resembled a huge issue against New Orleans and has been a problem for Phoenix all season. Being such a clear point of emphasis, I expect Monty to keep addressing the play on the boards and clean things up immediately.
This round should be slightly easier to win the glass since Dallas likes to play smaller, and represent one of the worst rebounding teams in the league. They rank 24th in offensive rebounds per game, and even worse in total rebounds per game at 25th.
Phoenix should dominate the glass every game, and this should allow them to run the floor and get into their offense easier and quicker.
This series should be a fun one. The Suns getting punched in the mouth in a couple games and being able to respond, adjust, and capitalize from earlier games shows the championship DNA they have on this team.
Luka playing in his first second round series will also be fun to watch, especially going up against CP3, Book, and the battle versus Bridges. To get through it all though, they need to check this rebounding box, as well as the other aforementioned factors.
