Phoenix Suns vs Milwaukee Bucks, February 10th

Playing them for the first time this season, the Suns butchered the Milwaukee Bucks in early February this year, knocking off the defending champs right after this year’s NBA trade deadline explosion.

Obviously, this game held some extra significance for Phoenix with it being their first time seeing the Bucks since falling at their hands in last year’s NBA Finals. As expected, they came out with that “eye of the tiger” look and earned some revenge.

Both teams traded blows early on, but the Suns outscored Milwaukee 66-43 between the second and third quarters, making this a no contest by the fourth. But even though this game lacked competitiveness, it could not have been more enjoyable for Phoenix fans.

En route to the victory, Deandre Ayton threw one down on Giannis Antetokounmpo in a “got you back” moment that mirrored the Greek Freak’s infamous block from the Finals. We also finally got to see a healthy Chris Paul take on Milwaukee. He cut them up with a season-high 19 assists.

When the dust had settled, the scoreboard reflected a 131-107 final score in favor of the good guys. Everyone looked fired up. Smiles could be seen up and down Phoenix’s bench, which were surely reflected by those watching at home. It pushed their record up to 45-10 for the season and helped them maintain one of their many win streaks.
