Suns vs Rockets Prediction
The Suns are just obscenely good. Breaking news: the best team in the league is still the best team in the league. They’ve won 17 of their last 18 games and now take on a Rockets team that has won just once in their last 10.
Phoenix already has a 26-point win and a 12-point win over Houston this season and tonight they’re catching them during their worst stretch of the year.
The Rockets are 1-8 against the spread (ATS) over their last nine with the worst defensive rating and worst net rating in the league over that span. They are catching the Suns with no rest after yesterday’s Clippers win, but Phoenix has covered the spread in four of their last five games when playing the second-half of a back-to-back, so bettors shouldn’t be concerned about potential fatigue.
Houston has given up 135 points to the Jazz and 139 to the Raptors in their last two matchups and good luck stopping a Suns offense that has put up at least 127 points in three of their last five.
Phoenix will be anxious to get out to a mammoth early lead so they can rest their starters in the fourth quarter to ride into the All-Star break with no stress. I don’t think they’ll have any problem accomplishing that mission and believe they win in a blowout.
