Phoenix Suns Buyout Candidate: Dennis Schröder
Dennis Schröder is easily a playoff rotation player. That talent might make the Houston Rockets hesitant to buy him out, but regardless, they still might do so given their identity as a rebuilding team.

If the Rockets put him on the market though, Phoenix would be wise to pick up the phone and call his agent.
After rejecting a significant extension with the Los Angeles Lakers last season, the 2019-20 Sixth Man of the Year runner up had to sign a 1-year, $5 million deal with the Boston Celtics this past summer.
When Houston of all teams acquired him right before the trade deadline, it came as a real shocker. While the Rockets for now expect Schröder to play, his fit on the team indeed feels counterproductive with Houston wanting to give as many minutes as they can to their young guard tandem of Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr.
If there is any development toward a buyout in the next few weeks, the Suns need to throw their name into the hat for Schröder. Phoenix already embodies an attractive place for him to end up, having established a winning culture and with his old teammate/mentor from Oklahoma City in Chris Paul still aboard.
