4 Ideal Buyout Candidates for the Phoenix Suns to Go After

Phoenix Suns Buyout Candidate: DeAndre’ Bembry
Needing to create a roster spot after the Ben Simmons for James Harden trade, the Brooklyn Nets surprisingly waived DeAndre’ Bembry this week. Although that technically does not make him a “buyout” guy, the Suns might want to consider signing him as a free agent nonetheless.
Bembry resembles a complementary and proven two-way wing. At the offensive end, he does not exactly space the floor, averaging a low volume of threes. However, Bembry can occasionally make defenses pay when left open, currently shooting a career-high 41.7 percent from deep.
His skillset does not extend that far, but he is good at what he does, knows his strengths, and his weaknesses.
Bembry specializes in attacking closeouts and getting to the rim with a promising 66.4 percent field goal percentage there. Also being a savvy wing who already played for a contender this year, Bembry possesses some underrated passing and cutting abilities as well.
All those traits make him a fine complement to this gritty yet skilled Phoenix team. He might not bring something to the table which the Suns lack, but he provides top notch insurance along the wing should anyone get hurt.
